- Bring together interested professionals who seek both to offer and to receive knowledge, education and skills in this specialised area.

- Enquiries from members & non-members who may wish to seek further information and advice.
- Membership of professionals working either in practice or in research, education or training in the field of brain injury or in a combination of any of these.
- Membership of those working in related professions who have a special interest in brain injury.

Through BISWG we can provide a direct link with members who are working with brain injured people and their families and carers. BISWG members are frequently asked for information and comments on a wide range of subjects. We are glad to know of members who can respond quickly to Reports/Articles/Current issues.
BISWG exists to:
- Provide a forum for social workers working with people following brain injury and their families/carers, to share, increase and disseminate their knowledge
- Promote the social well being of people with brain injury and their families/carers
